"Be You" Layout | Banning Lane

This past Monday, my little London got to go to her very first day of preschool. For her, it was an exciting day full of fun and new friends. For me, it was a hard day full of worry and a few tears.

I will be making a layout for her school album documenting all the sweet little details of that day, but the layout I am sharing with you today tells my side of the story, the mama side.

My jumping off point for this layout was a Felicity Jane print & cut file from the Silhouette online store. The words were perfect, plus I really liked the font.

The papers are always my favorite part of a Felicity Jane kit. I chose the really sweet pink and white stripe to matte my photo, and used a really cute bold polka dot to layer behind that. I tucked the Felicity Jane cut file right beside my photo. I got super lucky. My little girls' dress matched perfectly with the green in this kit.

I looked through the bits and pieces that came with my kit, and pulled out all the different hearts I could find. I thought they would be great embellishments for this layout.

I also picked out a couple of the word strips that went along with my story. I layered them on top of a doily that I got from my stash.

I chose to hand-write my journaling. I drew the lines in before I wrote my words. Most of my journaling focuses on what some of my hopes were on London's first day of preschool. I am happy to say that besides the teacher not being able to find her lunch box at lunch time, London had a fantastic day.

and I thought such a special day deserved a special after school snack!! By the way, this cute little box and that bow are both Felicity Jane cut files that can be found in the Silhouette online store.

Wow!! Thanks for sharing this amazing day with us. I haven’t done much scrapbooking in the past. However, after reading your post I think I might be able too! Great Job!
