We have a theme park that is pretty close to where we live. Every year at Halloween time they transform it into something really spooky. I hate scary things so I have never been tempted to go. This year, with a lot of persuasion from my little brother, I experienced "Scarywood".
We really did have a fun time. I'll admit the haunted houses were pretty darn scary, but I think it will definitely become a traditional date night for us. We took a couple of photos when we first got there. When I got my "Savannah" kit I knew I would be scrapbooking that night.
Here is a look at my layout.
We had such a fun night, and I wanted my layout to show that. I am super happy with how it turned out.
I started out by layering two of the papers from the kit behind my photo. I also used the tiny black polka dot paper to make a border around my whole layout. Tiny polka dots are my absolute fave!!
I knew I wanted to use a bunch of all the fun little embellishments and labels that came in the kit. I literally just started placing them on my page, and kept adding them until I was happy with how it looked. I really do love the mixture of textures and colors of all the elements grouped together like this.
The last thing I needed to do was add some journaling. I usually will plan my pages with the journaling in mind, and this time I didn't. Because of that I had a hard time figuring out where to put it. I finally decided to just write my story on a tag and tuck it into a pocket behind my layout. I took a circle punch and put a little notch on my page so that you could see my tag.
You can watch my process video below if you want to see how this whole thing came together.
