"Adventure" Tip + Tricks | Jen Schow

Hey friends! I have a quick and simple layout using the June "Next Stop" kit to share with you today along with a bunch of random tips for you to try on your next layout. I've starred each quick tip below. :)

*Every single layout doesn't have to reinvent the wheel. Lean back on a design you've used and loved before. Lining everything up in the center is something I used time and again.

*Let your products help you tell the story, whether they fuel the story or just add to it. I love using a pre-made sticker or die cut as part of my title.

*Add interest without distraction by stamping tone on tone. I wanted to use all of the awesome stamps from this month's stamp set, so I picked a bunch and stamped them on the background down the middle to keep in line with the central focus of my design.

*Use a speech bubble for a quote. This seems obvious, but sometimes I find myself wondering what to do with speech bubbles. This. Haha!

*Try layering stamps for a fun look. I think this works best when you use two different colors or a color + black. I really love the way the date stamp looks stamped on top of the JUN from the "Monthly" stamp set.

I created a process video for this layout and share a few more tips along the way, so I hope you'll check it out!
