Meet The Creative Team

Are you ready to meet two more members of the Felicity Jane Team?

First up is Anita Patel:

Q | What is your least favorite household chore?
A | Hands down...cleaning bathrooms. But I love to vacuum!

Q | What's your guilty pleasure?
A | I don't think I can pick just one. Ice cream. Donuts. Scrolling through Instagram. I can keep going but I think I'll leave you with those three.

Q | Favorite scrapbook/planner/crafty embellishment/product?
A | Hmmm...that's a tough one. If I had to pick one thing right now, it would be skinny washi tape. If you ask me next week, it might be something different!

Q | What do you Netflix/binge watch?
A | Oh, I LOVE to binge watch on Netflix! Some favorites have been Prison Break, Parenthood and most recently Bloodlines. I need a new show so if you have any recommendations, please share!

Q | What about you might surprise us?
A | I survived 9/11 because I went to work 15 minutes early that day. I used to take the train to the World Trade Center every morning and then walk to my office on Wall Street a few blocks away. I happened to go in a little early that day and I'm here today because of it. With the 15th anniversary of 9/11 coming up in a few weeks, I've been thinking a lot about how lucky I was and how grateful I am to be here when so many others were not as fortunate.

Q | What motivates you to create?
A | Pretty products and inspiration from Instagram.

Q | When/why did you start memory keeping?
A | I started memory keeping about 10 years ago after my husband and I were married and we moved to Florida. I didn't know anyone else in the area and decided to take a class at a local scrapbook shop as a way to do something creative and meet new people. I fell hard for this hobby and the rest is history!

Q| What project best shows off your style?

Next up is Nae Bowell:

Q | What is your least favourite household chore?
A | MOPPING!!! Omg, floors! Give me dishes, give me laundry, but gosh, the floors... We have a large open plan house at the moment and 80% of the area is tiles. I don't mind vacuuming but mopping, it just infuriates me. You can never get it that perfect clean finish and when you do, little kitty cats come running across it, or 16 month olds enjoy recreating Picasso... Its just a nightmare..

Q | What's your guilty pleasure?
A | Now this is going to sound a bit self obsessed, but in all honesty, I am the first person to stop and do something for someone else. I hardly ever do something for myself, I will always treat someone else before myself but... I love taking selfies.. Especially when I have makeup on and my sunnies!! I love taking selfies, and editing them... Lame I know, so heres another one!! I love shopping. I am a shopaholic in remission. We are a little tight for money at the moment so I don't get to go shopping for clothes as much as I would like to but I love it!! I love walking into a store, searching through the racks and trying on countless styles and trends!! You dont have to buy them all, but its fun to just try them on!

Q | Favourite scrapbook/planner/crafty embellishment/product?
A | There are so many favourites.. This question is like asking me to choose which one of my kitties I love more. I think thought if it came down to what embellishment I couldn't live without, it would be enamel dots/pearls/rhinestones.. I love my bling and I love those little pretties so so much.. No layout is complete without a little bling!

Q | What do you Netflix/binge watch?
A | I don't have Netflix (someone tell my husband that we need it to survive!) But usually I am into all the teeny dramas on tv. Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The 100, Containment, Orange is the New Black.. But I think Movies are my biggest binge. I love all the big bang movies of the past decade. We are talking Harry Potter, Twilight (yes Im a super twihard), Hunger Games, Divergent marathons and of course a good love story. I am really in love with English Romance movies at the moment.

Q | What about you might surprise us?
A | I lived in northern Japan for two years as a Assistant Language Teacher, teaching English, from 2010 to 2012. I was there, in the North, during the great Tohoku Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear disaster. It was the most terrifying time and there were points where I thought I may not leave Japan. Our city experienced a 3 meter tsunami which wiped out quite a large area and our entire fishing industry! It was the scariest time of my life and I really don't know how we got through it. It was also the most empowering time, looking back now and thinking about all those amazing people, everyday citizens that just acted so calmly and relaxed in a time of great fear and sacrifice. It was truly an amazing experience that I would never give up for the world, nor will I ever forget.

Q | What motivates you to create?
A | Sharing my creations with everyone. Joining the wonderful community of scrappers from around the world, I love getting to know everyone, watching their videos, reading their blogs. When I see someone else create, it inspires me to create. Also, pretty product. How can you not be inspired when a delicious box of pretty papers shows up on your doorstep. Its like Christmas, slicing that tape off the box and unveiling all the deliciousness that is waiting to be created with!! I just love that feeling!

Q | When/why did you start memory keeping?
A | I started memory keeping when I was 18 years old... Do the maths, thats like 13 years of my life... Almost half my life I have been memory keeping. I started in high school when I wanted to create an album to showcase photos of my installation and wearable art for my finals. My project ended up making it to the top 1% of the state for Visual Arts. I was beside myself, at that time, that was my dream and goal for high school, to be selected for a national art exhibition. I really do feel that the book I created really did help display my vision and from there, it just didn't stop. I have always been a creative, but now I had finally found the medium in which I loved.

Q | What project best shows off your style?
