11 Today Yay Layout + Process Video | Sheree Forcier

Hello Felicity Jane Friends!

Today I have a fun birthday themed layout to share with you that features confetti shaker balloons!

Madison was holding a confetti balloon in the photos from her birthday this year, so I had the idea to create my own as a feature of my design. I drew a balloon shape onto some scrap paper, then traced and cut three balloon shapes from some vellum I had in my stash. I then positioned them onto my background cardstock, pierced some stitching holes with my paper piercer and hand stitched each balloon into place. I used a small circle punch to cut my own confetti from some FJ scrap papers and inserted a little pile into the balloons before finishing the stitching on each one.

I added a small fussy cut bow to the bottom of each balloon and a stamped a phrase or word on the edge of each balloon using the Willow and Hooray Stamp Sets. I simply curved the stamps on my clear block before stamping so the images would follow the contour of the balloons. The photos were ‘suspended’ from the balloons with some twine.

At the bottom of the page I used paper, punched cardstock and branding strips to build up some layers before adding some stitching using my sewing machine.

I combined an Alexis Acetate Number, the pretty Kate Gold Glitter Alphas and an Alexis Puffy Sticker to complete the title, then added two chipboard flair from the Brie kit as well.

If you’d like to watch how this page came together you can see it in my process video below:

This page was so much fun to create!  Perhaps you might like to try making your own confetti and create a shaker pocket on your next project?

Thank you so much for joining me on the inspiration page today!  I’ll be back again soon!

Oops never mind, I see it better on the picture now.

That is just so pretty! It’s kind of hard to tell – did you just make sure not to stitch too close to the edge? (So that the vellum wouldn’t rip)

Dear Sheree,
this is such a beautiful and fun page! I love your handmade balloons and the layered paperstrips at the bottom just work out great! I might have to scraplift some parts ♡
Thanks for sharing!
