Inspired By... | Banning Lane
It's Monday, so that means it's time for another "Inspired By..." project. I had a photo in mind that I wanted to scrapbook, but I didn't know exactly how I wanted to do it. Of course I turned to Pinterest for some layout inspiration.
I came across a blog post that had a bunch of web design inspiration that I thought would work perfect as scrapbook layouts as well. This grid design quickly caught my eye, and I knew it would be perfect for the photo that I wanted to use.
Here is a look at my layout.
A grid design + Felicity Jane papers = perfection.
The first thing I did was cut a bunch of the patterned paper up into little squares, and placed them on the bottom of my layout (just like the inspiration picture.) I absolutely love the colors and patterns that are in this kit, and seeing them all together like this just makes me smile.
I then went through my kit and picked out a bunch of different embellishments to add to my squares. I thought the sheet of puffy stickers were perfect for this.
At one point I decided that I wanted to add a bit more information about my photo so I replaced 3 of the patterned paper squares with just plain white cardstock. I used that space to type some of the key points of the night.
What I love most about using a grid design is it allowed me to use a bunch of the great patterned papers, and embellishments to make this layout just as fun as this night was!
