"A Simon Story" Layout | Carol Chastain

Hey everyone, hope your week is going great! Today I am sharing an 8 1/2 x 11 layout  that started off with the story of an outing with my youngest son Simon. I recently purchased a typewriter from my local thrift store and of course I had to use that for my journaling! I included some of his current favorite things at the bottom of the page, along with his age.

I layered the transparency sheet with part of the floral file folder to help the photo stand out. I used this month's stamp set to make a "Story" arrow that leads the eye to the details of our date. I also stamped with the Amy Tangerine Roller Date stamp to add more context.

 I used a combination of hearts from this month's kit to tie into the photo of my son eating his giant heart shaped cookie.  I love the neutral shade of the background paper and the subtle texture running throughout. I especially love that I got one more story documented. Hope y'all are making lots of pretty things and telling stories with your kits!!!
