Hello and happy Friday! My name is Anita Patel and I am so thrilled and honored to be a guest on the Felicity Jane blog today. I'm originally from New Jersey but now live in Tampa, Florida with my husband of 10 years. The two of us love to enjoy everyday and exotic adventures, explore new places, try new restaurants and spend time with family and friends. I take tons of pictures to capture both the big and small moments of our lives and love to document our experiences through scrapbooking. I've been scrapbooking for about 10 years now. When we first moved to Florida, I didn't know many people and decided to take a class at a local scrapbook shop as a way to meet new friends and do something creative. That was almost 10 years ago and I'm still in love with this hobby. Over the years, my stash and my passion have grown tremendously and I truly can't imagine life without this wonderful creative outlet!
Last year, I discovered Felicity Jane and was immediately drawn to the beautiful kits Jeana designs each month. I began subscribing and am always so excited for my black and white striped box to arrive in the mail. Each month, the first thing I usually do when I open my kit is cut up the patterned paper with 3x4 card designs and create a spread in my Listers Gotta List book. So, that's exactly what I did this month with the beautiful Tuesday kit. I cut up the 3x4 cards, printed my prompts for March, grabbed the kit stickers and stamps and put them all together in one of my planners that I've designated for this project. Here's a look at my first spread for March:
For my second project, I really wanted to find a way to showcase multiple paper designs on one project so I decided to make a traditional scrapbook layout using a grid design. I thought the grid would provide me with homes for several different patterns while still giving the page a clean look. I was inspired by the circle embellishment that says "Today, we play" and thought it would be fun to include photos of my newest crafty passion: planners! Here's a close up as well as the full layout. We all love to play, don't we?!
For my last project, I created a spread in my Memory Planner which I use as an inspirational planner. The idea is to include favorite photos, quotes and other words and/or images that make me happy. I used pieces of the Tuesday kit along with photos from a recent trip to Maui to make these pages. I loved the days of the week labels and wanted to use them all together as a border on the side of my page. I also loved using the new cardstock alphabet stickers and definitely need to stock up on more of those. They're the perfect font and size and I can see myself using them on tons of projects. I also used this month's printables, several stickers that were included in the kit and a few of the stamps. (I love Felicity Jane stamps. The sentiments are great and they're some of the best quality stamps I've used. Crisp images every time!)
Thank you so much for allowing me to share my creations with you today and a huge thank you to Jeana and Jen for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be a guest on the blog.
