Hey gang! If you're anything like me, you love the look of stitching on your layouts - the texture and detail those little stitches add is just so cute, isn't it? But stitches can also be really useful on your page. Here are two ways they can work as more than just a decorative detail...

On this page, I chose to hand sew my title directly onto my photo, using two thicknesses of thread for variety. I simply placed a print-out of my words over the photo, before making holes with a paper piercer - simple and so very sweet.

I used my sewing machine to make lots of pockets out of the beautiful 'Tuesday' papers; these are great if you have lots of memorabilia to add to your page or if you want your journalling to stay that bit hidden. I pop a piece of masking tape over the back of any stitching, just to make sure it doesn't unravel in time.

There are lots of ways you could use stitching on a page - as lines for your journalling or as a cute way of marking out a grid... why not give it a go?
