Hi! It's Dannielle here with another Inspired By post. First lets take a look at my layout.
I had this photo sitting on my desk for awhile, and I even knew the words I wanted to document. When I stumbled upon this design inspiration, I was ready to tackle this layout.
The design for this layout actually came from an app called LiveCollage. It is a photo collage app that I didn't actually end up downloading, but when I saw the example picture they used, I knew that it would make a fun layout.
Here is a look at the collage picture I saw:
I really liked the two rows of hexagons, and I thought the design would be a perfect way for me to use several of the patterned papers that came in the kit.
The first thing I did was tackle those hexagons. I used my Silhouette to cut out a pattern that I traced on several different pieces of paper. After I had several cut, I arranged them, and rearranged them until I thought it looked nice and balanced.
I originally cut my photo into a hexagon as well, but it looked so little that it didn't stand out as much as I wanted it to. I decided to go against the inspired design and use a square photo instead, and I was much happier.
I used some black Felicity Jane letter stickers for my title. I am in love with these alphabet stickers. They come in black and white (for now) and they are the perfect size and font. Definitely check them out in the Felicity Jane shop.
I debated how much embellishing I wanted to do since I had so many different patterns on my layout already. I settled on added a couple flowers below my photo, and a few hearts above my photo. I think it is the perfect amount.
I decided to tuck my journaling into a little pocket behind my photo. To make it easier to pull out my journaling card, I attached a little "happy" tab from the cut apart sheet. I also punched out a little notch so that you could see I actually had something behind my layout.
Even though this layout pushed my boundaries a bit as far a style goes, I still think it turned out super cute and I am pretty happy with it.
What projects are you creating with the new Felicity Jane "Tuesday" kit? Don't forget to share them with everybody over on the Felicity Jane subscribers page on Facebook.
