12 Days of Christmas Free Printables & Cut Files | Day No. 4
Hi friends! Today is the fourth day of our free Christmas downloads and Nancy used today's cut file in such a fun way. Don't forget that each printable or cut file is only free for one day, so don't forget to head to the shop and download it!
Welcome to my December album! Not to be confused with the daily format that a lot of crafters are making these days. This is more of a Christmas journal without the daily obligations. There's so much going on during the Christmas season that I wanted to create a project that wouldn't put more pressure or stress - something I could actually complete! So here we go, using the Felicity Jane Joy collection and Plaid Album.
The very first page is a snowflake transparency from the Joy collection. It's the perfect see through intro page to my album.
Let me show you a close up, so you can see how it's been embellished.
A gold "falala" die cut and a sprinkle of the star enamel shapes right in the center of the flakes give the page a punch of color and text.
The intro page includes a copy of our Christmas card photo on the beautiful buffalo print vellum sheet. I like this bold splash of design for the intro page. I kept it simple with a bit of ribbon ground the large chipboard shapes and some stamping that's staggered through the bottom of the page. These peek through perfectly through the transparent overlay.
The next photo is from a farm that we visit every year for their apple cider donuts. The background shot is a closeup of our tree. It makes a perfect backdrop for this photo from the farm. A few tags tucked just under the photo and some contrasting circle shapes finish off the page.
On the opposite side we are making a list! This is blank for now but I will be filling it with our wish list. I used the numbers from the alpha sheet to dress it up a bit and give it a bold look.
Here's a few more photos from the tree farm and our favorite town square inn. More chipboard circles sprinkled around lead the eye from place to place and give the spread some movement. The bottom right pocket is a shaker of sorts, filled with wood veneer from the Joy kit and a star enamel from a past kit.
And last but not least - the freebie cut file! Here I used it to create a shaker box filled with clear sequins. It gives this black and white page a bit of shimmer and that something interesting. It goes perfectly with the black and white photos of a party we recently attended.
I love creating at Christmastime. Taking photos and gathering memories of the happiest season is my favorite way to document our lives. The Felicity Jane Joy collection is the perfect curation for a December album of your own!
