Happy Friday Y'all! Next week the month of June will be here and that means Summer! Today I'm sharing a fun project to help you get ahead of the game and have a place to document your Summer memories. Recently, I started making a list of things we want to do this summer and I even found some really cool "Summer Bucket List" suggestions on Pinterest, so, I got to thinking it would be nice to have a mini album to house said list and then journal/pop in photos when we actually do the things. You might notice for the covers that I used the black and white striped box. I also cut out the circle part that has "FJ" on it and backed it with paper for a fun place to embellish the cover. I used my binding machine to put everything together- you could certainly use a hole punch and book rings or whatever binding technique you have access to/prefer. The tassel is just something I picked up locally and it was begging to be a part of this little project! Okay....enough chatting here are the photos...
That Ice Cream embellishment is from a past kit and I knew I was hoarding...I mean, saving it for good use!
For this "page" I kept two of the 3x4 cards together (making it a 6x4) and simply folded in half. Easy-peasy interactive element.
If you are a Subscriber, you will have gotten these cute printables. I added a little label from the sticker sheet and stamped the "don't worry!" sentiment to remind me of one of the things on my Summer bucket list..."Stress Less"
I had this envelope in my stash and paired it with that ampersand from a past kit Thicker set.
Another Subscriber Printable to mix things up. I may go back later and punch a hole/tie a string in there- but for now I am leaving it "as is".
Here is another instance where I kept two of the 3x4 cut apart sheet elements together, this time vertically and folded. It might be a fun place to slide in ephemera and paperclip/staple/stitch closed...endless options.
For the back cover I stamped that "maybe next time" phrase as sort of a disclaimer for anything that we possibly skip or miss from the List of Summer fun. Giving myself grace people. ;)
And there you have it...a little book waiting to be full of memories! I hope you will try something similar and I will pop in the Facebook Group to keep y'all updated with photos and stories that I add. Have a great weekend everyone!!!
