I always think you can never have too much storage, so when I spotted this little wooden chest of drawers in our local thrift store, I grabbed it! I knew that it would come in useful somewhere around the house.
As much as I fancied keeping it for craft supplies, I knew that our family's real area of need was small toy storage. My daughter Kitty is an avid collector of... well, everything! The little drawers were perfect for each of her groups of small toys.
The drawer fronts had been painted a rather fetching shade of green, so I grabbed my paints, a sheet of spotty gift wrap and my very favourite papers from this month's kit and got to work beautifying it.
Next came the fun part of decorating each drawer front. I had an inkling that there would be little point in labelling the drawers as madam probably wouldn't keep things in their places, but I did want to add a bit more interest. I used journalling cards and cut-aparts from the kit, as well as a few stickers and bits and bobs from my stash.
I so enjoyed showing Kitty her new storage unit: she actually squealed, which I call a good result!

I love that you decorated the fronts with 3D embellis – so cute & clever! Your house looks FAB as well. Of course, as an FJ subscriber, we knew you’d have great taste, wink-wink!
