A couple of week ago we were in what my daughter likes to call the "make-up store" (Ulta), and she spotted some purple lipgloss that she just HAD to have. I of course said yes, and picked myself out some equally as bright pink. We didn't hesitate to try out our new purchases once we got to the car. My little girly girl thought she looked so fantastic, and couldn't stop staring at herself in the mirror. I took the opportunity to snap several selfies.
I was so excited to scrapbook these fun photos, and the bright colors and the "Note To Self" kit worked so well with them.
Here is a look at my layout:
I took a bunch photos of the two of us. My original plan was to use several of them on one layout, but I decided to just pick my two favorites of the group.
I knew I wanted to use the title "lucky to be me" along with several other things that came from the subscriber printable. I literally moved everything around the page until I was satisfied with the placement, and then filled in any holes with patterned paper.
When it came time to embellish my layout, I stuck with one single ampersand that came from the puffy alphabet stickers. I like that it brought some more yellow to the top of my layout.
I let my photos speak for themselves and didn't include any journaling. I almost always include the story, so it felt a little weird not to. I have a handful of things I could write about these photos, and this day. If I decide to do that, I will more that likely create and pocket to tuck them in behind my layout.
If you want to see how this whole layout came together, you can watch my very short process video below.

So cute, and you are totally right about the fun, bright kit being perfect for these photos :)
Yep – those lippy shades match the kit perfectly! xx
