Christmas Gift Inspiration : Black and Gold
Hi there! I love the Christmas holiday, it's a time for giving, reflection and spreading good cheer! This year I found the 'Goody Goody Gift Swap' where crafters from around the world get a swap mate and exchange a hand made gift. Fun, right? Well, I love paper so I thought I'd create some things that my swap mate could use in her business or hoard for herself.
First, a set of thank you tags wrapped all cozy like in a mason jar with brushed gold confetti...
Next, a set of 'thank you' and 'hello' note cards and envelopes wrapped in a gold star bag... and you can't forget the gold pens!
and you can't forget something adorable to seal the back of the envelopes
Next is one of my favorite bits... a desk calendar. I designed and printed the calendar on heavy cardstock then cut it out using my Silhouette CAMEO.
Then, I printed a few quote pages on vellum and cut those out using the CAMEO too.
Then, I used a couple of office clips to clamp them together and using a paintbrush applied mod-podge to the top so that it would stay together and peel off each month's page as the year goes by. It looks cute propped up on a tiny easel!
I wrapped that up together with a bit of confetti!
Because a wise friend of mine said 'the bigger the bow, the better the present!' I put it all in a box and tied it up with a big black and white striped bow.
Are you giving handmade this Christmas?
