Christmas Gift Inspiration : Black and Gold

Hi there! I love the Christmas holiday, it's a time for giving, reflection and spreading good cheer! This year I found the 'Goody Goody Gift Swap' where crafters from around the world get a swap mate and exchange a hand made gift. Fun, right? Well, I love paper so I thought I'd create some things that my swap mate could use in her business or hoard for herself. First, a set of  thank you tags wrapped all cozy like in a mason jar with brushed gold confetti... thank you tags Next,  a set of 'thank you' and 'hello' note cards and envelopes wrapped in a gold star bag... and you can't forget the gold pens! notecards wrapped and you can't forget something adorable to seal the back of the envelopes stickers Next is one of my favorite bits... a desk calendar. I designed and printed the calendar on heavy cardstock then cut it out using my Silhouette CAMEO. desk calendar month Then, I printed a few quote pages on vellum and cut those out using the CAMEO too. desk calendar vellum quote Then, I used a couple of office clips to clamp them together and using a paintbrush applied mod-podge to the top so that it would stay together and peel off each month's page as the year goes by. It looks cute propped up on a tiny easel! desk calendar easel I wrapped that up together with a bit of confetti! desk calendar wrapped Because a wise friend of mine said 'the bigger the bow, the better the present!'  I put it all in a box and tied it up with a big black and white striped bow. wrapped box Are you giving handmade this Christmas? xo  - Jeana
