DIY | Embellished File Box | Kate Spade Inspired
As I've been slowly giving my creative space/office a makeover I've been drooling a little bit over Kate Spade's gold & acrylic office supplies. I know Christmas is still a couple of seasons away, but if Santa is bringing me anything this year, I hope it's this stapler!
When I first decided on the color scheme for the room, black | white | gold | pale pink, I found gold polkadot file folders with a pale pink color on the inside. I couldn't bring myself to put them in a box where I couldn't see them, so I purchased a super inexpensive clear acrylic file box from Target. It would have done the trick just fine as it was, but the clear acrylic and gold combination from the Kate Spade office supplies kept coming to mind. Enter Tim Holtz foundations, gold spray paint and super glue for a super quick file box update... It was as easy as spraying the little decorative feet with my favorite gold spray paint, and super gluing them to the bottom corners of the box.
In just a few minutes it was like a whole new file box... that I kind of love.
Have a happy day!
