Hello, Everyone!
Today I'd like to share the first entry in my 2019 Life album with you, which I used the gorgeous Jill kit to put together.
This year I'll be documenting my weeks in a 6x12 album. I absolutely love this size, but I will admit that I was a little concerned at first that I might not have enough space to detail everything from week to week. It's still too early to know, but for now I'm trying to just maximize my space by using square grid page protectors and finding space everywhere and anywhere I can for my journaling and dates. So far I'm liking the limited space because it gets me to keep things simple!
I started this layout by trimming some of the 3x4 journaling cards to fit in the 3x3 pockets and then balanced things out on the opposite page by trimming down some of the 12x12 papers into 3x4 cards so I could get the same colors evenly distributed on my layout. I love trimming the Felicity Jane pattern papers for my Life pages. The patterns are perfect for filler cards, and the neutral backside is awesome for customizing journaling cards!
After I was happy with my photo and card placement I started filling in little areas with stamps and die cuts. Again, this layout was all about keeping things simple, but I'm so happy with how it turned out!
If you'd like to see how this page came together, check out the process video below.
Happy Crafting!
Sarah

In love w this size! I was afraid to switch from 12×12 for the same reasons you mentioned! Now I’m thinking I need to cut down my inserts! =)
