It’s Lydia again today with a little mini album, using the amazing Madison collection. I’ve been really into making specialty covers for my books and mini albums, so this one was no exception.
This little 4x6 book is made with some of the amazing papers in the Madison kit, some chipboard, dryer sheets, and my sewing machine. You guys know that stuffing my covers with recycled dryer sheets is my favorite trick for making any mini album look professional and beautiful.
For this book I wanted to do a pliable spine, that attached 3 signatures of papers inside for my January documenting. I did this by first adhering my patterned paper spine to my covers, and then I attached a full sheet with the stitched signatures to it. I also added in a ribbon to keep my little book closed This made it so that my stitches were not visible on the spine, and the internal and external part of the album were clean and pretty.
To fill up my book, I chose 3 signatures of patterned papers to fill my little book. I then stitched them in, leaving lots of room for embellishments and fluff. This is my favorite thing about mini books; you get to fill them with all kinds of dimension!
I decided I was going to divide this little January book into 3-sections; books I’m reading, my goals, and stories for the month. I can’t wait to start filling it up with all my stories and from the month. I’ll make sure to share with all of you as the days go on!
Thanks so much again for joining me! It’s always a pleasure sharing my love for FJ creations with you. I feel so inspired by this amazing community!
