"Bed" Layout | Jen Schow

The September "Feels Like Home" kit is my favorite kit so far! It's so warm and cozy and got me thinking about what kinds of things feel like home to me.

One of the best parts about returning from a vacation is being able to sleep in your bed. It's heaven. It almost makes coming home worth it. Almost. :)

The cute stars included in this kit (from the cut-apart sheet, patterned paper, puffy stickers, and wood veneer!) were perfect for this layout.

I used a mixture of word strips, my typewriter, thickers, and the "feels like home" phrase for my title.

I added a bit of spray mist to the background and I love the way it peeks through behind the hearts.

Speaking of the hearts...I used a Felicity Jane cut file from the Silhouette online store to create a background. You can see how the whole thing came together, including how I created the heart background, in the video below:

The size and shape of the room may guide or dictate where you place the beds, but it’s worth taking a look at some different bed layouts to see if they spark inspiration for you.

Love this layout especially the background in tone on tone, along with the aqua ink…so pretty as well as backing some hearts with the gorgeous papers from the kit.
I am like you after being on vacation the best thing is getting into your own bed! It is the greatest feeling ever.
Thanks for sharing.

I adore this… I wouldn’t have thought of making a cut-file from one shape like that, but it’s awesome
