"Family of 4" Mini Album | Carol Chastain
I'm excited to share with you a mini album full of photos from a family session 3 years ago. I've had this pile of photos that I wanted to do something with and never did until now. The colors in the Feels Like Home kit were just the motivation I needed to get this project done. I'm so glad I did, because as of tomorrow, our third baby will be a week old. What a difference three years has made.
Throughout the album I used the cut apart sheet to make tabs for some of the smaller inserts.
Incorporating the stamps was so fun and added just the right touch to show our growing family.
The black and white striped banner was from the subscriber printable this month. I loved mixing the brown tones with black in this mini.
Adding the stars for a fun shaker pocket was the perfect compliment for that star patterned paper. I know many have a fuse tool to seal up the pocket, but here I just used double sided tape (stitching or stapling it closed would also work!).
This is what I call "the lazy girl's guide to stitching on Thickers". Just bunch up some thread and place underneath. Gold and black for the win!
For the last page I used the subscriber printable again to add a bit of whimsy to the barn, using that brown wood grain scalloped edge. I love that floral puffy sticker!
More of that lovely gold thread attached to the tag (also a subscriber printable piece).
I love bunching up patterned paper and I knew I wanted to do the same with the set of tickets from the kit. "Discover" was the perfect embellishment word to finish off the album as we embarked into the next phase of our family of four. Using a kit is a great way to get consistency in a mini album without having to worry if it all coordinates. Hope this inspires you to pull out a stack of photos and make something you will treasure for years to come!
