"Feels Like Home" Layout | Alexes Marie Brown

Good morning my friends! It's Alexes here and I'm here on the blog today to share with you a 12x12 layout I made with the fabulous Feels Like Home Kit! I'm still majorly crushing on this kit and I just love the muted and warm colors in this months color scheme. 

I got this super cute picture of my oldest kiddos and I've been waiting for the right papers to use with it and this kit was exactly what I needed to make this picture stand out! 

I think something that's really becoming a big trend in the scrapbooking world are these awesome grid layouts! I've never done one, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity! I'm really happy with how it turned out. There are just so many fun embellishments in each and every kit and I loved playing with them and moving them around on my page until I felt like it was just right! 

I really wanted to add some dimension to page so on some of the embellishments I added some foam dots.Then to get my paper to curl up a bit, I took my heat gun and blew hot air on the small scraps of paper. This takes the corners and curls them up a bit, I love the textured look it gives my layout!
