Hello FJ friends!
Have you joined the Felicity Jane Gratitude Journaling Challenge yet? I've never tried such a project before though I was thinking about it for a long time. And today I am super excited to share with you my first pages I've completed so far using the beautiful Harper kit.
As I was afraid I might become a bit lazy during the challenge and would probably give up on it, I decided to use a 6x8 album binder for this project because it's the most simple and convenient format of scrapbooking for me. And also I'm not going to make myself complete each of the journaling prompts every single day (though I will try to), I'd rather play with this project when I feel inspired. No one forbids you to create more than one page today and not a single one on another day.
So I started with creating a title page for my gratitude album. First I trimmed a red gingham pattern paper to fit into the album and punched holes in it. Then I cut a floral pumpkin using my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with different pattern papers from the Harper kit. I also decided to back a few leaves and flowers on the pumpkin with gold glitter paper from my stash to match some of the Harper die cut shapes that has gold glitter on it. In the end I just added a title using the Harper gold foil puffy alphabet stickers and word puffy stickers from the Shay kit.
To the back of the title page I only adhered a piece of a pattern paper with apples. And after that I printed a 3x8 black gingham journaling prompts list that fits perfectly into a new FJ 3x8 page protectors.
And finally here's my first page in the album. I chose the "What is the greatest gift you have been given?" prompt to journal in it because I wanted to start my album with a gratitude to my husband as I'm so grateful to him for everything in my life, all the happiness and wonders that happen to me are only because 8 years ago he appeared in my life. So for sure he is the greatest gift I've received.
At the back of the journaling prompts I put a 3x8 photo into a pocket page and added a "thankful for you" cardstock label at the top. On the right hand side of the spread I used two of the Harper journaling cards and trimmed a dark turquoise grid pattern paper to make another one. Next I printed my journaling on a pink striped card and adhered a gray felt leaf in the bottom corner of it. Using puffy adhesive squares I added a carstock frame to the journaling card with a quote. And then I stamped words "love you" on a cardstock label with the Rebekah and the Lindsey stamp sets and glued it down to the grid card. That's it!
I hope you will join the Felicity Jane Journaling Challenge this month and will look forward to see your creations. Make sure to share your projects on the Felicity Jane group on Facebook or on Instagram using #felicityjane. Thank you so much for joining me today! Will see you soon!
