"November Around Here" Pocket Page Spread | Carol Chastain

Every once in a while, I like to be intentional about the kind of photos I am taking, as well as the stories I tell to go along with them. That's exactly what I did with some of the photos in this spread, documenting the way things are right now. I knew I wanted to include the month we are in and the subscriber printables  are just perfect for that! I paired the calendar card with that lovely "Fall" from the cut apart sheet and the little fox was the icing on the cake...so much cuteness!

I used leaves from the printable and  other circular bits (from the printable and the center of a 3x4 cut apart) to make a confetti pocket. I wanted there to be a bit of dimension and so I threw in a flair and some puffy heart stickers from the kit.

To add a cohesive look to the spread I used the word phrase stickers (all the gold!)  and placed one directly on each photo. I tried to pick the phrases/sentiments that best suited the story I wanted to tell in my journaling.

 Speaking of journaling, I just used the polka dot printable card and mounted it on the 3x4 cut apart that is in the same shade of blue (the one that has the white tag). I just really liked the bit of stripe peaking out and the tone on tone look! I took advantage of that label to do some stamping and add the lovely wooden arrow. My journaling is on white cardstock strips that I simply adhered by gluing. I finished off with some more stamping that was relevant to the words and it just helped tie everything together on that card.

Here is a close up of that confetti pocket. All that fall goodness makes me happy and adds pizzaz to a simple pocket page spread.  I love seeing what everyone makes with their kits each month and how they add the exclusive printables to their projects.
