Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I don’t know about you, but I sometimes struggle to come up with new and creative scrapbooking layouts and that’s when I turn to Pinterest for inspiration. Today I’m sharing a scrapbooking layout using a layout by Bea Valint as a guide because I thought it would work really well with the Rebekah Stamp Set. You can find the process video for this layout at the end of the post.
I started by creating an 8.5x11 base using the wood grain patterned paper and some Essentials White Cardstock. I did add a little bit of wonky stitching detail around the edges just for some fun texture.
Next is stamping...lots of stamping! A trick that I found helpful was to stamp on a sheet of transparency first so I could be sure that my spacing and general shape was what I wanted before I committed it to my layout.
The reference layout had some simple, watercolor florals to bring in little pops of color. I used some floral dies and a variety of Rebekah Papers to get a similar look on my layout. I didn’t use the 6x6 papers this time but those are usually great for small die cuts like these since the print is scaled down from the 12x12 papers.
How adorable are these little babies in pumpkins!? This photo was pretty muted so I didn’t want to overwhelm it with a lot of layering so I just used a little bit of patterned vellum and one of the Rebekah 6x6 papers. A scallop die cut and one of the foiled puffy stickers was all the embellishment that it needed.
I stamped the date on one of the tabs and layered it with some of my favorite grid washi. I like to mix the date stamp with number stickers when documenting photos that are older than the dates that I have on the stamp.
That’s it! This is a very simple but stunning layout that really lets a favorite stamp set to take center stage. I think it would be fun to create a similar layout but use words and phrases instead of florals or even mix in little pops of colored ink.
