Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! Once again I’m changing up my plans for how I want to memory document and have jumped up to 8.5 x11 layouts rather than the 6x8 layouts. I felt like I needed just a little bit more room to play and have larger photos like I used in this layout today. If you'd like to see how this layout came together, be sure to watch my video at the end of this post.
I’m trying to go back and document older photos that I had taken but never printed, like this one of my boys with rabbit ear headbands. I thought the Spring vibe of the Lindsey and Jaimee Kits would be perfect to use since we are coming up on Easter.
I started with a base of white cardstock and added a strip of light pink spotty dot paper to one side to act as an anchor for my photo and clustering.
Throughout this layout, I wanted to embrace different textures and small details like these layered labels, puffy stickers, and tiny staples.
For more texture, I added a combination of different patterned papers and tissue paper that were cut or torn and then layered behind the photo. This is a great way to bring in a variety of colors to your layout! Before attaching everything down, I added some stitching detail to the strip of patterned paper and the photo cluster.
I was excited to discover that the large tag from the Heid | Story Tags would work with one of the striped Jaimee | Vellum Pocket Fronts. This created a fun place to add journaling without being obvious on the surface of the layout. I dressed up the tag with a Jeana | Tassel Bow.
I created a title with the Jaimee | Puffy Alphabet Stickers and also added some stamped sentiments around the photo cluster using the Zoey | Stamp Set. I love how the pops of black really help to draw your eye around the layout.
I had way too much fun piling on lots of die cuts and puffy stickers, mostly from the Jaimee Kit, to decorate the page.
I love that the tag gives me a place to add as much or as little journaling as I want without having to incorporate it into the overall flow of the layout. I picked a green pen for my journaling to tie in the greens from the Jaimee Kit.
I’m really glad that I made the move to larger layouts so I have more room for #alltheprettythings! You can still grab the Jaimee Kit from the Felicity Jane Shop...I think it would be great for documenting all of your upcoming Easter photos!
Until next time!
<3 Lindsey
