Tips and Tricks | Minimalist Journaling Cards

Happy tips and tricks Friday. Today I'm sharing how I make my own journaling cards. When I can't find exactly what I'm looking for, I take out the watercolors and stamps!

For the heart card I used the stamp from the Something Sweet stamp set. I simply stamped it on plain white cardstock, then watercolored over it in pink after it dried. I don't use any fancy watercolors just a cheapy kit from Target.

The embroidery template is probably my favorite part of this month's kit. I had so much fun stitching this little card and love the texture that it added to my layout.

These cards are just an ampersand puffy sticker and the beautiful floral paper from this months paper add on.

Hope I was able to give you some tips on how to look at your kit differently and to mix in some different media into your scrapbooking.
