"Be Happy" Layout | Evelyn Wolff
For my Inspired by... project I wanted to make a layout with some stitching in the background. My inspiration for this was the beautiful work of artist Liz Payne. I really adore her colorful and detailed embroidery art. So here is the layout that I created using the Felicity Jane Something Sweet kit and add-ons.
The first thing I did was paint the background with my acrylic paints. Because I wanted to use the stitching template from the kit I tried to paint some matching spots for it. The stitching part took me some time to get it finished but it was so much fun and I enjoyed the process. The hearts, the arrow and the small circles are from the Something Sweet stitching template, and I love how easy it was to do it.
For the layering of my photo I used some of the papers and added some fussy cut roses. Of course I wanted to use some of the gold dipped alphas from Pink Paislee and I combined a sticker for my title.
I really love how my background turned out with all the colors and stitching. Sometimes you just have to try some new techniques to create something really fun.
Have fun stitching with your Felicity Jane kit!
