I've wanted to create a banner photo display for our kitchen for a while, so when the new year came I decided now was the time to do it! I just love how I can use the banner to showcase multiple photos at a time and how easily I can switch them out. In order to ensure coherence even though I am displaying photos from different events and places, I decided to use polaroid style photos.
I had a number of photos printed before I realized, I hadn't thought about some sort of storage solution for the additional pictures that were not hanging on my wall. Well, we aren't DIY Paper Queens for nothin', right?
I bought a simple hard cover notebook in a store, took (well.. ok, I ripped) out the notebook paper and used one of the gorgeous papers from this month's Sophie Kit to decorate the cover. Before I glued down the paper on the front, I cut out the word 'memories' and used bits from the remaining paper to put behind the letters.
I decorated the insides of my cover with the blush colored solid paper, created a pocket on the left and a waterfall photo display on the right. Now I can storage some photos in the pocket - maybe even sort them by event - and use the waterfall construction to easily flip through newer photos. Each waterfall page has two slits at the top to hold my pictures and to allow them to be exchanged both quickly and easily.
Thanks for stopping by :)
