A5 Layout | Just Do It! | Lindsey LanningJan 04, 2021
Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! Holidays are over, it’s time for a fresh start and a new year but don’t put away your Coco Collection quite yet. One of the many reasons I love the Felicity Jane collections is how easy they are to mix and match due to the neutrals and similar colors in some of the kits. Today I’m mixing Coco with the brand new (and I think my favorite!) Krystal Collection to document in my A5 journal. Be sure to check out the process video at the end of this post for more details on how this layout came together.
I love using the FJ TN inserts for documenting my less formal memories. This particular notebook is one that I’m using to document my health and wellness journey. We might not enjoy taking photos of ourselves but I would encourage you to try a project like this if you have set some new health goals for the year. This is a great way to look back and see your transformation even if the scale refuses to budge LOL.
I snapped this photo of my husband and I on one of our recent walks to use for this page. I loved the florals from the Coco Collection so I added some that I fussy cut from the papers to tuck in behind my photo. The pinks in the Krystal and Coco Collection are similar so I used one of the Krystal solid papers to layer behind my photo for a little more pink in the layout.
The journaling cards are great for layering up and creating little journaling spots in your journal. I used the gingham one from the Krystal Collection and then grabbed a leftover card from my Coco Kit and flipped it over to give myself a dotted grid to journal on. The Krystal Stamp Set has some great sentiments for a project like this so I stamped one on an Essentials Label Sticker to add to my journaling cards.
The JUMBO Die Cut Alphabets are great for a bold title on an otherwise simple layout like this one! And of course a little more of that floral print using a branding strip from one of the Coco Papers because it’s just too pretty not to use. This die cut piece from the Krystal Kit seemed like a good fit for this layout. Health is a journey and my journey hasn’t been an easy one so I try and find the joy whenever I can.
That’s it! A simple layout to document a nice winter walk with my hubby using a mix of Coco and Krystal products. Do you like to mix your kits together or work with them on their own? Let us know below!
The Krystal Collection is now available in the Felicity Jane shop and there are still some Coco items available if you want to do a little mixing of your own!
