A5 Layout | Today’s Top 3 | Lindsey Lanning

Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey!

I’ve really enjoyed using an A5 notebook insert to document my less formal moments. This year I’m using one of the inserts to document my health and wellness journey and of course I needed to use some of the Krystal Collection in here since it’s possibly my favorite collection from Felicity Jane. You can find the process video for this layout at the end of this post.

My boys recently started joining my husband and I on our walks throughout the week so of course I had to grab a photo of all of us. I layered some of the Krystal patterned papers behind the photo and used some scrap pieces of the floral paper positioned to look like one tall piece of paper (I have to hoard every last piece of FJ paper LOL).

I love all the different sentiments in the collection this month so I tried to incorporate multiple as my embellishments for this side of the layout. In my unboxing videos I always mention that you can thin out the chipboard bits by peeling away some of the back layers of chipboard. I did that with the “this is me” piece so it wouldn’t be too chunky in my A5 notebook but would still have some fun dimension.

This journaling card was perfect for using as a prompt for the details behind the photo that I’m documenting since I had a few things I wanted to document but didn’t need to write out a detailed story. I used some of the puffy alphabet stickers to reinforce the three points of the card and this also brings some black details to this side of the spread. I can’t get enough of the florals in the Krystal collection so I was sure to use one of the floral die cut pieces as a focal point and also layered a doily die cut from the wood grain paper behind the journaling card.

This A5 spread was pretty simple to put together but also showcases some of my favorite bits of the Krystal Collection! How do you use your journaling cards? Do you do traditional pocket scrapbooking or do you use them in other creative ways in your projects? Let us know below so we can be inspired by YOUR creativity!

The Krystal Kit is sold out but you can still grab pieces from the collection a la carte. Maybe try mixing and matching with some of the past collections to create your own kit!

Don’t forget to checkout my process video to see this project in more detail.
