Adventure Layout | Leigh Ann Odynski

Hello FJ Friends! My first layout with the gorgeous Mila kit, has two photos on it. I am really trying to include myself in our family scrapbooks more, since I have rarely been in the pages for the last twenty years.

I was inspired by the Diagonals and Dots paper and used it as a strip to house both photos. I think because the photos have a tilted horizon line, the pattern seemed to work with them. That gorgeous floral paper had to go right at the top of the page.

The two patterns placed together on the page really emphasize the contrast in the two designs. I like to mix a floral with a geometric pattern.

I liked the white title on top of the dark background in the floral pattern. I added the Mila 3x4 journal cards behind the photos and lifted them up on foam adhesive.

Here, you can see the Mila Kit Stamp used as journaling for the page. I stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink for a crisp impression. I used an acrylic block and some Spun Sugar Distress Ink Stain to make the ink splatters near the banner and floral stamped image, and on two other areas on the layout.

I used the FJ Essential Puffy Shapes here to act as ink splatters, and tie in with the other black contrast areas on the page. Foam tabs life the Mila Die Cut up away from the folded and stitched edge.

Thank you for visiting today, and I can't wait too see what you make with this beautiful kit!
