Oh my goodness did you spy that divine ombre pattern paper in the "Summer" Kit! I think I gasped when I opened my box and it was the first paper I wanted to play with when I started creating! I just love the effect that is created with the pattern paper as it moves from mint to soft pink to yellow, no other pattern paper was necessary it was the perfect background for my layout.
The only extra piece I needed was that super fun glasses cut file that I found in the Silhouette store. I cut it out at 12 inches wide on some white cardstock and laid it over the center of my page. I trimmed a small border from the edges of my pattern paper and laid it over some white cardstock to form a base for my layout also.
I then added my photo above the glasses cut file tucking part of the photo under the top of the frame. I added a small piece of the Summer Grid washi to hold my photo down. Next I added my title right on top of the cut file with the fun Summer Puffy Stickers following the shape of the rounded glass shape and finished with the Summer Flair!
I then went through the Summer Die Cut shapes and Chipboard Stickers and found pieces that coordinated with the mint, pink and yellow in my layout. I placed them in and around the photo and cut file adding some with adhesive and some with pop dots for dimension and shadow.
Last I grabbed the Summer Clear stamps and chose some Mint, pink and yellow ink from my stash and added stamping also in and around the other embellishments to help tell my story.
I just love the dimension that is created with the stickers and chipboard shapes. I love how my eye travels up and down the layout following the lines created by the embellishments and stamping. Most of all I love that I have another family memory recorded in my scrapbook! After all that is why we are all here!
Till next time!
