Hey there everyone, it’s Kathleen here with you again and today I have a layout to share that I made with the gorgeous new Lindsey kit. Have you checked it out yet? If not, you really should, it’s filled with so many super cute products and I love how the colors are perfect for Valentine’s Day, yet they work for anything else, too!
I started my layout with white cardstock for my background and coated it with a layer of clear gesso because I knew I wanted to add some color to it. I used some of my ink sprays in yellow, pink and aqua and added a little bit of each color in a horizontal line.
When it was dry, I used my sewing machine and thread in each of the three colors to add machine stitching over the watercolored areas in the coordinating colors. I love how this adds subtle texture to the background and another pop of color without becoming too busy.
Because I also wanted to incorporate some black and white pattern, I trimmed the white cardstock down to roughly 11.25x11.25“ and then used the black and white heart pattern to “frame“ it. The rest of the layout is equally simple. I layered a few bits of patterned paper and a journaling card behind my photo to repeat the colors I already got going on and then also added some embellishments here and there.
I think my favorite embellishment in the whole Lindsey kit are the foam and cardstock stickers (or maybe the cute colorful chipboard alpha stickers that I used for my title?). I used two of the foam and cardstock stickers on my layout and then also scattered some of the epoxy heart stickers around.
Finally, I used the tiny heart stamp from the Lindsey stamp set and stamped it in the three main colors on or around the stitched area.
Supplies used: Lindsey Kit | Lindsey Patterned Paper Pack | Lindsey Chipboard Alpha Stickers | Lindsey Stamp Set | Lindsey Journaling Cards | Lindsey Die Cut Shapes | Lindsey Epoxy Heart Stickers | Lindsey Silicone Charms | Lindsey Foam + Cardstock Stickers

so pretty!
Beautiful layout. The stitching also reminds me of a voice recording images. (the zig zags) pretty cool.
