Okay, friends. It's no secret that since I shared my very first pocket page ever, here on the blog last October, I've been absolutely hooked!
I've since sized down to a smaller 6x8 album because I feel like I can tell more stories of everyday life and little special moments. With less room to work with, I also found I was becoming more creative in the way I put my pages together!
For the title of my page I used a mix of the alphas and one of the stamps from the stamp set. It reads "Always Together" because my best friends and I are always together, but I wanted the word "Always" to be able to stand on its own (signifying that we'll always be friends, it will always be like this, always us, etc.) To achieve this, I used the bold alphas for the word "Always" and stamped "Together" in black on the black and white photo. I used a white pen to highlight down strokes of the word so it pops slightly, but I like that it doesn't stand out too much.
For the bottom photo, I wanted color to play a part since there is so much black and white going on. I used a piece of the patterned paper and cut a slit, using my craft knife, where the branding strip meets the main pattern.
The slit doesn't go all the way across, it's just the length of my photo so I could slip the bottom of the photo inside.
