Hello FJ Friends!
Welcome to another sketch challenge! It's Sheree here and this month was my turn to design the sketch for us all to work with...so fun!
Here's the layout I created using this sketch featuring the beautiful Grace Kit...
When I sat down to scrap my layout from the sketch, instead of making the large circular element a photo, I decided to make it a circular “frame” to go behind two separate photos instead. I used my Silhouette machine to cut the circle from an 11” x 11” piece of white cardstock. I backed it with some tiny heart paper from the Madison kit and used the green gingham paper from the Grace Kit as the border.
I added a stitched border and messy stitching around the outside edge of the circle before adding the photos and gorgeous Grace Kit floral die cuts. I used the Grace Stamp Set and Jenny Puffy Title Sticker to create the title, added my journaling strips underneath then adhered a label at the bottom which had been stamped with the FJ Roller Date Stamp. Megan Puffy heart stickers were added at each end of the date stamp and I used a Grace Puffy Sticker at the very top of the page to finish it off. I love that this page feels so fresh with the lovely green gingham paper and florals from the Grace Kit!

I'm so excited to share what some of the other FJ Creative Team members have created with the sketch too! One of my favourite things about this challenge each month is seeing how each person interprets the sketch in their own style. First up here's Anna with her beautiful project...
When I saw Sheree's sketch, it was love at first sight. It's not a secret that I love flowers, so this was perfect for me. I chose a photo of my sister's wedding, because the colors matched perfectly with the Grace papers. I used the pretty Floral & Lines paper to border my layout and the solid soft pink paper for the background. I stitched them together with my sewing machine.
To recreate the sketch, I cut two cut files with my Silhouette Cameo: a circles wreath and a flower trio. Then I backed the floral cut file with papers from the Grace kit. Above the circle I glued one of the Chipboard Bits (which I'm totally in love with).
For my title I used the word "Love" from the Rebekah Puffy Stickers. This font is just so beautiful and delicate. I printed my journaling (I wrote it in catalan) and placed a mint label with the date at the bottom.
I didn't change almost anything from the sketch because I love it as it is, but I can't wait to see your takes on it!

Jana has also created a sweet layout to share this month. Here she is to tell us about how she chose to interpret the sketch...
Hi everyone,
What a lovely sketch Sheree created! This is one of my favourite compositions that I can see in her projects but I have never tried it. So I decided I am not going to think of different alternatives and I will follow the sketch because it just makes it all so much easier. And it is a very good one!
As for the photo I found one of our kids' school photos. At first I had a dilemma over whether my son would mind the flowers but I think he won't even notice. To make that circle I traced a metal die cut and cut the cardstock with a craft knife. I love handstitching and there is always a good excuse to add some nice texture, right. I used some die cut shapes and puffy stickers and I added lots of journaling. I love telling the stories! To make a frame I went for this beautiful mustard yellow paper. Such a lovely design. I tend to cut the middle bit from the backing paper to save it for later. Every piece of paper counts!
I can't wait to see what you create!

This month we're so happy to have Guest Designer Camille Bole with us and she has joined in the sketch challenge too! Let's take a look at the pretty page she came up with...
Hello FJ friends!
When I saw the sketch for this month, I was thrilled to see the big circle in the middle. I'd been wanting to use a round picture for quite some time but never got around to it. So, this was just perfect. It's fun to follow the design that someone else created because it leads you toward things you wouldn't necessarily do on your own. I followed the sketch pretty closely because the design and the embellishments in the Grace kit were perfect to compliment the family picture I chose for this page. For my background, I used a piece of white cardstock and I created a frame around it by placing a piece of paper a little bit bigger under it. I chose the beautiful "Stars & Diamonds" pink paper from the Grace kit. I used two puffy embellishments and two chipboard flowers to frame my picture. As always, I love the combination of soft colors + black & white. Since my page is only 5 x 7 inches, I didn't have much space to include journaling, so I decided to just add a subtitle to my "blessed" title. I used a light pink label that I cut out of the "Hearts & Labels" 12 x 12 paper and added the date. I love adding stitching to my pages and decided to add some around the white cardstock to give it some extra texture. I also added some stitching onto the label, exactly like in the sketch. This page came together very quickly, thanks to this awesome sketch created by Sheree. I'm sure you will enjoy creating with this month's sketch if you decide to give it a try. Have fun!
Camille

Next up we have team member Tina with her cute layout...
Hi everyone! Tina here, sharing my take on this month's Sketch Challenge using the beautiful Grace kit.
As it's the month of Easter celebrations which aren't quite the same as usual with everybody staying home right now, I wanted to create a cheerful layout using a photo from last year's egg hunt to brighten these days with some happy memories. So I started by choosing the pattern papers from the Grace kit that matched the color scheme of the photo. After that using a cutting machine I cut an egg with a rabbit and flowers out of white textured cardstock and backed it with the pattern papers. To add the photo I made a small cuts around the middle rose and the rabbit's paw and then inserted the photo inside the cuts. Next I trimmed a sheet of white plain cardstock on the edges, cut out a square (smaller than the rest of the white cardstock piece) in the middle of a pink diamond pattern paper and adhered a white square onto the pink frame. After that I added a simple title using the Bailey alphabet stickers and glued down strips of paper with my journaling on it. In the end I stitched around the edge of the white cardstock. And that's all! I hope you enjoy what I've created and can't wait to see what you will come up with using the sketch!

Creative Team member Lydia has been busy creating something fun with the sketch too...
I was so inspired by the amazing sketch that Sheree created! I almost always create layouts and memory keeping projects, but I really wanted to do something a little different. Since I had a great blank space above my craft space, I really wanted to fill it with something special and pretty! Sheree’s sketch really reminded me of an embroidery hoop, so I went to work deciding on how I could emulate that in real life with a photo of my bestie and I. I used some tulle, that gorgeous green plaid paper, and some FJ essentials ribbon and scraps to create a little piece to highlight my crafty bestie above my craft space. I tied on all those ribbons and some thick yard to dangle down like a pretty dreamcatcher. I layered on my photo with some ephemera, added my title at the top, and then I tucked in some journaling and a tag inside my tulle pocket to add cards that my bestie has sent or little notes she always gives me. It will be the perfect place to keep the little notes of love she’s so lovely at giving!

Last, but certainly not least, we have CT member Ulli to share her gorgeous page with us...
Working with sketches is so much fun and when I saw the super pretty sketch of my talented team mate Sheree I had to make a layout with it.
I used a very big picture and shaped it as a circle. The size of the circle is 7.5 inch. Its an older photo, but when I searched for something for the wonderful new Grace collection it was just perfect for it. The colors with the pink and green tones are matching perfectly and the little rainbow banner from the Grace Die Cut Shapes looks like the camera belt on the picture.
I added my circle shaped photo on Essentials White Cardstock in 12 x 12 and fussy cut many flowers of the beautiful Floral & Lines paper. Then I added them under and over my picture - but only on the lower semicircle of the picture. I decorated the circle with the super cute Grace Die Cut Shapes. Especially the big flower, the camera and the rainbow banner are my favorites. Here and there I’ve used 3 D dots to add some dimension. I added also some of the wonderful Grace Puffy Stickers and the adorable chipboard bits. I used the cute mint label from the Grace Die Cut Shapes and the word "Smile" and added it on the top of the picture.
I used the super cute Grace arrow stamp and added it not straight but round on the acrylic block and stamped it under my round picture. I printed out my journaling and glued it as one long paper strip under the arrow and my picture. Because of the very big picture and less space under it I’ve decided to add the title directly on the picture. Therefore I’ve used the pretty mint Grace Puffy Stickers and the ampersand of the pinkish Bailey Puffy Alphabet. I added Henley Epoxy Dots, Brooke Puffy Shapes and some of the Bailey Heart Beads here and there. I also used the cute heart stamps from the Grace collection and stamped some hearts around my picture. At the end I splattered some black ink across the page.
xx, Ulli
