Bah Humbug! Layout | Evelyn Wolff

Hi lovelies! Today I would like to share with y'all a new layout that I created using different supplies from the Felicity Jane November Oh, Deer! kit as well as some bits and pieces from the amazing Hello, Christmas! collection.

I started with cutting the FJ Christmas Tree background from the Silhouette store using my Silhouette Cameo. I wanted to use it to scrap the photo of our cat in front of the christmas tree from last year. This photo is totally not the best quality because it is dark and a bit blurry but sometimes even those pictures need to be documented on a layout, right? Do you create layouts with those not-so-perfect snapshots? The facial expression of our cute boy when I turned on the christmas tree lights is so funny and this is why the title 'Bah Humbug!' came into my mind.

The size of my layout is 8.5x11 and I needed to cut down a bit of the Christmas tree background. So in the original cut file there are more trees than ended up on my layout.

I used the pretty patterned papers from both kits to back most of the trees from the background but not all of them. This way I wanted to add some more white space to my layout which I absolutely needed for my dark photo. Once finished with the backing part and decorating a few of the trees I decided to add another layer of patterned paper behind the white cardstock.

For the title I used the tiny dot alpha stickers and added a small shadow with the black alpha stickers peeking out. I really love how that turned and how it adds a bit more dimension to my layout.
