Bailey Journaling Card Focus | Sheree ForcierFeb 28, 2020
Hello FJ Friends!
One of my favourite things in the Bailey Kit this month was definitely the journaling cards.
The mix of colours and patterns are just so pretty and I was super keen to create a pocket page spread for my album to document my birthday this month using some of these lovely cards!
After selecting which ones I wanted to use, I played around with the cards and photos to find the arrangement that I wanted for the layout.
The first card on this spread is the pink dotty card. I added a piece of vellum to the centre then layered the “birthday” die cut from the Zoey Kit with a “today” Lindsey die cut down the right side of the card before adding some machine stitching. To finish off this card I added a variety of sequins and confetti. The photo to the right of this card I left plain.
At the bottom of the first page I attached a Bailey felt heart to the top of the photo with a staple. I printed out some journaling onto some white cardstock, punched a slot at the top and added some of the new Essentials Cotton Ribbon, then adhered it to the centre of the beautiful floral card.
At the top of the second page I’ve used the “Details” card for some more journaling. I printed the text onto vellum so that you can still see the lines on the card. Stitching was added across the top of the vellum, then I added a little banner tag from the Zoey Kit and a little epoxy heart sticker.
For the photo next to this card I added a Bailey die cut at the top and across the bottom before added some machine stitching.
For the last photo I simply added a die cut underneath, which was all it needed.
To create the card to the right of this photo I chose the pretty yellow gingham card for the background, then fussy cut some flowers from the Bailey Floral paper to adhere to the middle. For underneath the flowers I stamped “Beautiful Day” from the Megan stamp set onto some white cardstock, adhered it into place and finished off with some more machine stitching.
You can see my process in the video below...
I’m already planning more pages to use up each and every one of these gorgeous journaling cards!
I hope I’ve given you a few ideas how you can use yours on your next project too!
Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today!
