Hello FJ Friends!
Today I’d like to share with you my latest Note to Self binder spread. Did you know that there is smaller version of the Megan papers in a 6 x 6 paper pack available separately in the store? When you’re scrapping in a smaller size like in your binder or traveler’s notebook, the scaled down patterns are just perfect! I was especially excited about the gorgeous rainbow paper and couldn’t wait to use it.
I started by cutting two A5 sized pages from the yellow 12 x 12 paper in the Megan Kit, then I cut down two of the Note to Self A5 grid insert pages to create a border around my spread. Once the grid inserts were adhered to the yellow background, I repunched the holes using the A5 grid insert as a guide and added a stitched border.
I flipped the pages over and added some temporary washi tape to the back to hold the two pages together while I created the rest of the page design. I fussy cut the rainbow out of the 6 x 6 rainbow paper, then adhered the it across the middle of the two pages. I left out the smallest of the rainbow bands because the positioning of it would have required it to have holes punched through it which I didn’t want.
The Megan Puffy Alphabet was curved around the outside edge of the rainbow for the title with the addition of a puffy heart sticker to dot the “i”. I then stamped two sentiments from the Megan and Essentials No 1 stamp sets along two of the rainbow bands.
The photo was tucked in behind some of the rainbow bands on an angle, then I added some stitching, a paper bow, a mint mini wide paper clip and a tiny tag stamped with the date. The vellum butterflies were adhered to the pages with sticky dots, then I added the journaling strips and some stitching. To finish off I removed the washi from the back of the spread and carefully cut through the middle of the rainbow to separate the pages.
