Hi everyone,
Mandy here with you today to share a traveler’s notebook layout that I created using the beautiful Brie kit! Our focus on the Inspiration Page this week has been flowers, which I think was an easy task considering that the Felicity Jane kits are always full of such gorgeous florals! I decided on fussy cutting some floral clusters out of the patterned paper in the Brie kit. Here’s the layout that I created…
I started off by covering the left hand side of the spread with the light blue spotty patterned paper. I also added a strip of one of the solid color papers down the outside edge of the page. Along where the two papers join, I added my title, using a die cut from the Brie kit. To finish the page off, I tucked one of the floral clusters under the edge of the title.
I added my photo over on the right hand side of the spread, and I matted it with the pink grid patterned paper from the kit. The pop of pink behind the photo really helps it to stand out. I added two more of the florals to this page, adhering one on the top left hand corner of the photo, and tucking the other under the bottom right hand corner. I only added glue to the middle of the flowers, so that the leaves would lift nicely off the page, giving them some extra dimension. I also created a little cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the photo using a die cut heart, and a chipboard flair, both from the Brie kit.
I typed up my journaling on my typewriter, and then cut it into strips to add to the layout. And then I was done!
Here’s another look at the completed spread…
Thanks so much for joining me here today! I hope that you’ve been inspired! I’ll be back next month with more projects to share with you!
