Beautiful TN Layout + Sketch | Andrea Gray

Beautiful TN Layout + Sketch | Andrea Gray

Hello sweet friends! I get the honor of sharing a layout + sketch with you this week!

I'm still working on my TN for our trip to PlannerCon2018 and wanted to pair this photo with the older Caroline kit. When I have landscape photos for a TN page, I like to turn my notebook sideways and create the page that way.

Today's sketch is full of ripped paper and layers. So let's jump in!

I started by creating a base of patterned papers that I tore and layered to fit the width of the layout. I wanted to make a spot for the "beautiful" die cut so I made the bottom layer shorter in width so that it felt like it was meant for the title. Then I tucked the quote under that layer. You could add a small piece of paper for journaling or a tag or label there as well. It's a great place for a subtitle.

I used the 2x2 vellum squares from the Brooke collection and trimmed out 3 hearts so I could layer them in the open space.

For the bottom page, I added a darker patterned paper to help provide visual weight. And because the photo has some dark elements, I didn't like how it looked layered on only the lighter papers. I kept it simple by matting the photo with a thin white border and a tiny journaling block to the left. Finishing it off with an acetate number from the Alexis collection that represented us two girls and entering our 2nd year of friendship.

My hope is that you find this sketch easy and fun to follow along with and that you have extra fun tearing some papers!

Until next time!

Andrea
