"Beautiful You" Layout | Anna Blades
Hello everyone! It's Anna! Today I'm super excited to share with you this layout using the new Gabby collection. As soon as I opened my striped box, I fell in love with all these autumn colors. They're so gorgeous! So for today's Friday favorite, I'm going to focus on the beautiful patterned papers of this collection.
I pulled out my electronic cutting machine and cut out this cut file from white cardstock. I wanted the patterned papers to stand out, so I finally decided to use the "Wonky Grid & Wood Grain" paper for my background. I think it gives the page the autumn look that I was looking for.
For backing this cut file, I used some patterned papers, but also some Journaling cards, because the pattern has a smaller scale. Once the cut file was backed, I glued it to the background with foam to add dimension. It really makes a difference from gluing it directly onto the page.
Talking about dimension, what do you think about these rolled flowers? I combined the solid paper cardstock from the kit with the Essentials White Cardstock, and I created three little clusters. I used my electronic cutting machine, but you can also do it easily by hand. Every time I do these flowers I love to put some leaves with them. I cut them from the green solid cardstock and a piece of vellum. I put the photo on top of a journaling card and attached it with a miniwide paper clip.
Finally, I cut two scalloped strips from the solid color cardstock, placed it on top and bottom of the page, and stitched it with my sewing machine. I also put one of the die cuts above the "E", and an embroidery heart in one of the flower clusters.
I can't wait to make more projects with Gabby! I love all the colors! Thank you so much for stopping by today!
