Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! I know that a lot of us are probably consumed with our December memory documenting projects this month but I thought it’d be fun to do something different and use the Holly Kit and create a Bible journaling entry. I had so much fun using a couple different cut files and the holiday themed products to document a prayer for this holiday season.

I was inspired by the holiday themed coffee cups that we see in Starbucks during this time of year and thought it’d be fun to incorporate something like that in a Bible journaling entry. I found a coffee cup cut file to use with my Silhouette but you could easily sketch and cut out these shapes from the patterent papers by hand. While I was working with the cut files I thought I’d take a look through the Felicity Jane cut files in the Silhouette Store and found a snowflake that I cut out of some metallic paper in my stash.
I love that the Holly & Trees paper looked similar to one of the printed cups from Starbucks this year! Before assembling everything, I did add some pen detail to the pieces to give them a more finished look. I also layered some Grid Washi and Tree Washi under the cup before adhering it down. I dressed up the coffee sleeve with a Holly | Die Cut and a Holly | Epoxy Sticker and I love how this came out!
As I stuck down the different sized snowflakes, I tried to visualize where my title and journaling would go on the page so I didn’t run into problems later on.
I pulled out a mix of Holly | Glitter Alphas, Essentials | Mini Puffy Alphas, and Joy | Foam Alphas to create my title…”In the morning give me Jesus and coffee”. Yes, I know...coffee is way less important than Jesus but it helps me not be a mama bear in the mornings LOL.
All of the fluff, tabs, and tags, sticking up out of the top of my Bible is one of my favorite things to see! I punched a tab out of the same Holly & Trees paper and added a Holly | Word Sticker to mark this page.
I finished up this page with a journaled prayer and a date stamp. My goal this month is to focus on a variety of verses that will help me keep my focus on Jesus this holiday season!
