Hello FJ Friends!
I must confess that I am "in war" with birthdays! Again and again they slip through my fingers. I had to do something about it, because there is nothing worse for me than forgetting a birthday and a friend not in time with a small card greeting or gift to brighten his special day!
Therefore, I have made a birthday calendar from the wonderful digital kit Mabel!
For the cover, I cut cardstock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches and covered it with the cute heart paper. For the back in the same size I used the nice dotted paper.
So that I also like to take the birthday calendar in hand ... to no longer forget a special day ... I have decorated the cover of course! The striped journaling card I have first attached with 3D tape. I cut out little flowers and arranged them around the card. A few bits and pieces like the plaid frame, letters, a tag added to it and my cover is almost ready. The digital kit Mabel can be used absolutely in many ways!
I made the word birthday with the cute Capri Puffy Alphabet stickers.
Of course, an extra should not be missing. I made little tassels out of 1 1/2 inch x 2 inch wide and 3 1/2 inch long paper strips. For this I folded on the long side after 1/2 inch and cut the lower (wider) part with fringing scissors. On the edge I put double sided tape, looped a cord inside and then rolled it up tightly. I think they turned out pretty!
For the calendar itself, I cut 12 pieces of 5 x 8 inch cardstock and covered them with the various papers from Mabel using double-sided tape. The great thing about a digital kit is that I can print out papers as often as I need them!
To write the birthdays I created a template in Word with 31 days and one line each and printed it out. This template I cut out in the size 4 x 7 inches and glued on the individual calendar pages.
The month names I have made with the various puffy alphabet stickers from Capri, Gabby and Annie (Confetti). I also found Grace Puffy Stickers in my stash and decorated each month with them.
Finally, I punched a hole in the center of each card and made my calendar on a ring.
I am happy about this calendar and I am sure that now I will never forget a birthday!
If you are always forgetting birthdays too I hope I can inspire you to make a birthday calendar!
Have a wonderful creative week!
