Birthday Card | Adelina Starace

Hello, Adelina here for another fun project post! Today I'm going to walk you through my process of making a birthday card using the Felicity Jane Reagan girl stamp. Felicity Jane has a collection of these stamps that they include with every release, each one with their own unique personality. I love this particular image because it feels very Seattle to me! Beanie, cup of coffee, skinny jeans and boots. I love her!

The first thing I did is stamp this image on some Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I used my Copic markers to add some color to the image and then I used some sharp, detail scissors to fussy cut the image out.

Next I took some Distress Oxide ink and smudged it onto a piece of acetate. Then I spritzed the acetate with some water and smeared it onto a card front. This can also be achieved using watercolors, a piece of cardstock layered onto the card or a small background stamp.

After I created the dark background I layered the Felicity Jane Alexis heart stencil over the background and used some red dye ink to stencil the hearts with a sponge dauber.

I took the sentiment "happy" from the Felicity Jane Zoey stamp set and the "birthday" from the Felicity Jane Hooray stamp set and I stamped it on some white cardstock with some navy blue ink. I layered washi tape and the cardstock on the card front and held it in place with a some adhesive and a couple of staples. Then I used some gold sequins to add some extra sparkle to the card. I love all the layers behind the image!

I hope you like this card and I hope you'll be back for my next post!
