Hi crafty friends!
Ulli here with you today at our Friday favorites here on the inspiration page. My favorite product of the wonderful and super cute Katherine collection are the pretty Puffy Stickers. Aren’t they gorgeous?
For my layout I focused on these cute Puffy Stickers and when I saw them I was inspired the most by the cute pie chart. So I decided to make a circle chart with the cute and candy colored Katherine papers on my page and I had the perfect pictures too. Some pictures from my birthday crop at my 40th birthday in February. Some days before Corona hits our world and changed so much in our lives. Here is my 12x12 page.
First I cut out a big circle from a paper with my cutting machine. I wanted to make the arrangement like the pie chart from the puffy stickers and so I used a pencil and a ruler to mark the positions on the circle. Then I cut them by hand, used them as a model and used the Katherine patterns to make the pie slices with it. I cut them out from the following papers: Floral & Stars, Hearts & Stars, Berries & Dots. I glued all the parts on my white essentials cardstock and used 3 D foam dots for the blue one below. If you use 3 D dots you can make your products more interesting and they get more depth.
Then I cut my two pictures to squares and glued them also with 3 D dots on the biggest part of the chart on the left side above. I am so in love with the adorable berries pattern paper! I began to decorate the page with the wonderful Puffy Stickers and glued the pie chart on the right side above. I used the wonderful Katherine Puffy Alphabet and the black Jenny Alphabet for my title and glued it on the round border of the circle chart. One part from the title I glued before the chart and the other after the chart puffy sticker.
Then I glued numbers 1 to 5 from the colorful Katherine Puffy Alphabet on the chart slices. I also wanted to use the super cute Die Cut Shapes of the Katherine collection. They also have sweet numbers and I decided to combine them with my journaling on the bottom of the page. I wanted the look of a real pie chart with the explanation underneath it. So I typed my journaling and printed it out. I made 5 journaling strips to have one for every number. Then I glued the die cut numbers with 3 D dots on the bottom and behind them the journaling strips. To get a playful look I changed the height of the numbers on the page.
I decided to use the cute Katherine stamp to make another highlight on my page. I used the circle and the day stamps and stamped SAT and SUN with the arrow between it on the circle. I cut it out and glued it also with 3 D dots to add some dimension on the chart.
To finish off my page I added some more Katherine Die Cuts and Puffy Stickers here and there. I used the FJ Roller Date Stamp to add the date on my page. Then I splattered black ink across my page.
I hope you like my page - inspired by the super cute Katherine Puffy Stickers. Have a nice weekend, my friends!
xx, Ulli
