Birthday Garden Layout | Leigh Ann Odynski

Birthday Garden Layout | Leigh Ann Odynski

Hello crafty friends! Leigh here, with a new birthday layout from my daughter's first birthday.Yes, the photo is from almost 20 years ago, but I think it is never too late to start that birthday scrapbook;)

Since this was a birthday layout, I envisioned using all the patterns from the Brie Kit to symbolize rolls of gift wrap. They are staggered and rolled at different lengths to give some movement to the top of the page. I used all the patterns except the Swatches and Spots paper.

Layers of the rolled gift wrap look at the top, and a few layers under the photo. I chose another of the pink ombre strips to layer under the photo area to tie it in with the top of the page. I chose the floral die cuts to reinforce the garden aspects of the photo.

Close up of the bottom of the layout shows how I stamped the three butterflies from the Brie Stamp Set in three areas on the page. I used a pink oxide ink to react with a spritz of water and splattered some more of the ink around the butterflies to soften them.

I typed my journaling after making sure all the layers around the photo fit, and I traced around the puffy title with a pencil before adhering anything to the page.

Have you tried the Brie Kit stamps and layering butterflies yet? I can't wait to see what you do with them!
