Birthday Pocket Page + Process Video | Sheree Forcier

Hello everyone!  Today I’m back on the blog with a birthday themed pocket page spread to share with you. One of the many things I love about Felicity Jane kits is that you can mix and match elements from different kits and they just work so well together! For this spread I’ve used bits and pieces from the Henley, Zoey, Alexis, Kate, Mila and Caroline kits.

I knew for sure that I really wanted to use the gorgeous Henley Stamp Set to create one of the filler cards. The first thing I did was choose some pretty minty/blue inks to coordinate with one of the blue papers in the kit, a green ink for the leaves and started layering the images.

The stamps were so easy to use and the results were just so pretty! You can watch how I stamped the images in my process video later in this post.

I cut out my stamped image and arranged it on a Henley journaling card with some messy thread and a printed word that I created on my computer.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the cards I’ve put together for this spread.

Some Zoey die cuts and a little silicone Caroline heart became the title card. I used a grid card for the background then stapled and stitched the die cuts into place and added the little heart with some glue. Next to this card is the first photo.  A little cluster of Zoey die cuts, a Henley epoxy dot and a printed word with some stitching was added to the bottom corner.

For the next card I cut the black dotty bow from a Kate journaling card and added some Zoey Tiny Tags on a loop of twine. This was then adhered to a plain white card with a branding strip stitched across the top. I then printed my journaling using my computer and backed it with a piece of blue patterned paper from the Henley kit then added some stitching, a Henley washi sticker and a little Caroline silicone heart.

The ‘enjoy today’ card was from the Mila kit and I kept it very simple by just adding a Henley washi sticker, stitching and epoxy dot. The group photo was then backed with a dotty Alexis card and I added some Zoey die cuts and a Henley washi speech bubble sticker. The ‘hooray’ word was a stamped word left over from a previous project so I stapled it to the bottom of the photo.

The last photo was also kept very simple with a couple of Alexis die cuts and some stitching and of course there was my stamped floral card to finish off the page.

Here are my pages all done and put away into my Note To Self Binder.  This is where I’m keeping my pages until I decide on an album for this year.

You can see my process video below which includes stamping with the Henley stamps…

I hope I’ve inspired you to go through the remainder of your old kits and put those pretty goodies to good use!  Thanks so much for joining me today!
