Hi FJ friends,
Ulli here with you today and I have a brand new project with the wonderful Jenny collection for you. I love documenting our kids birthdays in my yearly pocket page albums and I made some new pages for the 3rd birthday from our son. They are all 6x8 and I worked with two different kind of page protectors: with pocket page protectors with two 3x4 pockets and one 4x6 inch pockets and with pocket page protectors with four 3x4 inch pockets. The Jenny Journaling Cards are perfect for some birthday themed pocket pages and an amazing addition are all the cute Jenny papers & embellishments and the super cute Hip Hip Hooray stamp and die set.
My first page is a double page from the birthday morning. The children are always so exciting when they wake up and its their birthday. Its always special when we sing all together Happy Birthday and when they can blow out the birthday candles from the birthday cake. For my first double page I played with black and white photos and colored ones and used different photo sizes. I decorated the photo with the birthday cake with the super adorable Jenny chipboard stars.
I cut down two 3x4 inch cards from the from the Essentials White Cardstock and one from the blue solid Jenny cardstock. I also cut down a 3x4 card from the Jenny Grid & Lines paper. I always love the cute borders on the FJ papers and this card I decorated with a label from the Jenny Die Cut Shapes and the Hip Hip Hooray Die Cut. I stamped the date on a small white piece of paper and glued it on the label. I used the Hip Hip Hooray stamp & metal die set to make my own die cuts and decorated the photos with them. I knew I had to use the sweet birthday hat and so I glued it on the head from our birthday boy. Isn’t this cute? I put the birthday confetti in blush, white, yellow, green and blue into this page and used a fuse tool to close this pocket. On the other page I played with the cute stars and the Stripes & Hearts paper and glued them as a border on a photo. I used the „Birthday“ Stamp & Die and the cute Amber Puffy Stickers to glue a title on the 6x4 photo. I also love the cute banner from the Hip Hip Hooray Stamps & Dies. I glued it with the „Happy“ lettering on one of my photos on the left side.
For my next page I used a photo row and the wonderful pictures from the sweet candy table. I used the adorable green Gingham journaling card with the yellow scalloped border and placed a round photo on it. I made it with a circle die and set a turquoise eyelet on the top. For the first photo I cut the photo to 3x4 inch, so that the photo fill out the whole pocket. The third photo is also in the size of the pocket. I used the adorable Jenny Puffy Alphabet to number the photos in a line. It didn’t need much more to decorate the page and so I only played a little bit with the cute Jenny Word Stickers and added the big Puffy Sticker „Celebrate“ on the bottom of the biggest photo.
For the right side of the double page I also used very big photos and trim only one a little bit smaller than the pocket. I cut it to 2 3/4 and 3 1/2 inch and glued it on white 3x4 card to have a white frame around it. I decorated the pictures with the Puffy Sticker „Today“, with the black and white striped FJ Washi Tape, two Word Stickers and the cute balloon from the Hip Hip Hooray Stamps & Dies. I used the cute Jenny stamps & dies and ink pads in robins egg and turquoise to make another cute self-made die cuts. I love how they turned out. To set some little eye catchers on the big 4x6 photo I used the wonderful Jenny Sequin mix and and the Birthday confetti in yellow, mint and white. I also glued the letter „N“ for my sons name on the „party“ word sticker. Little details like this make your pocket pages more special and unique. The little black hearts from the Jenny Puffy Alphabet were perfect to finish off this two pages.
For the last page I cut a 4x6 card of white cardstock and printed my journaling about our son and his birthday on a piece of vellum. I glued it on the jorunaling card and fixed it with the polka dot and the striped FJ Washi tape on the top and on the bottom. Then I glued a small photo on it and decorated it with the beautiful Tiny Tags from the Megan collection. They have the perfect size to glue the Jenny Word Stickers on them. I cut a flower die cut shape into two pieces and glued it on the the border on the top and on the border on the right side of the 4x6 inch card.
I cut a 3x4 inch card from the Watercolor paper and stamped it with the Jenny Birthday phrase „Its your day!“. I knotted black yarn on the polka dot tag from the Elizabeth collection and glued it under the stamp. Then I trim my black and white picture to 3x4 inch and decorated it with the „Awesome“ word sticker, the Megan Die cut shape and a puffy sticker from the Amber Puffy Alphabet. These Alphabet matching perfectly to the Jenny collection and I loved it to add also some colored letters to the black ones from the Jenny collection on my pocket pages.
I hope I could inspire you with my birthday pocket pages! I really love to see all your wonderful projects with the Jenny collection and I am exciting to see all the upcoming projects with the brand new Shay collection!
Happy creating my friends!
xx, Ulli
