Hello crafty friends! Leigh here, with another 8.5x11 layout to share. This week on the inspiration page we are focusing on alphabets, and my layout features two different stamped alphabets using the FJ Bold, and Basics Lowercase alphabets.
I saw a flyer and took the title idea from it. The title went off the bottom and the top of the layout, so I used oxide inks to create an ombre effect that is stamped over both edges.
The second alphabet stamp set was used to create a tone-on-tone patterned paper behind the photo and layers in the center of the page . I left the stamps on the carrier sheet and just removed the numbers, so that letters could be inked separately. I used an ink color close to the coral color FJ card stock.
I used the Jeana Kit journal cards to create the layers for the photo. The B sides were perfect for the watercolor and stamping using the dots from Jeana Kit Stamp Set. I made sure the watercolor was dry before stamping. Some die cuts were added to the top right and bottom left of the layers under the photo near the watercolor splotches.
The photo and the layers underneath are both up on foam so that they stand out from the background. I stitched down the black and white patterned paper strips to give them some texture.
How do you like to use alphabets in your paper crafts? I can't wait to see! Thanks for visiting today,
Leigh

This is a lovely layout. I would not have noticed the dots and watercolor but since you did, I’ll be trying that technique too. TY
