"British Day" Layout | Jana BennettJul 16, 2021
Hello FJ fans!
I hope your summer is in full swing and you are getting some crafty time as well! There are always so many favourite bits and pieces in the FJ kits (so hard to pick just one!) but I loooove the puffy stickers. They are so cute and soft! It is amazing how something so small can add so much to a layout! Really! Try it yourself. Put together a project and then decorate it with puffy stickers! You get a complete make over, I am telling you!
As for today's inspiration...the layout is devoted to a special day that we celebrated back in 2019 (oh those pre-pandemic times!). It is a kind of two layouts in one style. If you look at the finished page, it could easily be split in halves.
For the top part I used this bright yellow stripey paper (so summery!) and one of those designer tags. A red one goes with the British theme pretty well. The title is again composed of two different alphabets (I like mixing fonts, colours and sizes in my titles): the mint one is from the June kit and the black one is Amanda.
The bottom page carries three photos in a row and some stripes. As you can see I tried to use the same colour in both parts of the layout to link it together. I used a red label on the bottom and a mint tab on the top. I think that repeating is often the key to a cohesive layout.
OK and now can you spot the puffy stickers I added right at the end? I especially love the sunshine and the little soft flowers.
Thank you so much and until next time!
